Where ideas flow.

It Howls in My Bones

Standing alone,

I stare into

Darkness,

the Void

of the

blackest

of nights;

No stars shine here,

No light in the night.

The Shadow

envelopes

my soul.

I am

no longer

whole.

Thunder crashes,

the sky remains

Slate,

Raindrops fall on my

face – daggers of

ice and of

Spite;

rivers run

down from

my eyes.

The Wind, it

tears and it

bites,

howling in

my bones.

The Wind

howls in

my bones.

How can

I be so

alone?

Howling, the Wind

cries out with

my soul,

but none can

hear it here;

This darkest of places,

This blackest of nights –

The home of my deepest

of fears.

It cries, but the

Wind sheds no

tears.

No tears for my

deepest of fears.

How is it that

nobody hears?

The Wind,

it howls

in my

bones.

  1. It has a song-like quality to it. Maybe you should find a melody to go with it.

    Very nice, BTW

  8. Very dark and dreary, but beautifully written! It’s ironic how sadness brings great writing!
