A Prayer for Perseverence
Lord, grant me Thy Wisdom
to hold fast and know
that I can do all things through You.
No matter how hard things
may turn out down here
help me to lean upon You.
For brief is my time here,
my pathway is short,
this much I know to be true.
But right now I’m falling,
like rain upon sand;
Lord, show me what I need to do.
So, Father, my Savior,
within me renew,
Your Spirit of Patience and Love.
Grant me Your Wisdom, Your
Grace and Your Peace, and
help me to look up above.
All things? Really? Even what is not God’s will?

Well of course not! That would be foolish. I was quoting the Scripture “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phillipians 4:13, I believe.

I think this is truly beautiful and I thought I recognized your scripture of reference ~ nice to see I was right :) It also reminded me of the Serenity Prayer, of course.
