I just wanted to take a moment to type up a few words about a very dear friend of mine. She is a blogger, like all of you – and I daresay she’s one of the finest – but life knocked her down and kicked her hard, thus she has been absent from the blogosphere for the last few months.
I say “has been,” though, because she is now back.
This blogger is the ever-lovely and talented Miss D, and words cannot express the brimming sense of joy I have for her, for the fact that she is returning to her own little corner of the blogosphere, because I know how much she has truly missed it.
Miss D, I have truly missed you. You were my very first follower on my blog, and you did so much to help me and build me up by encouraging my writing. I’ll never forget your words “Never stop writing poetry,” and because of you I haven’t – and I won’t.
You have been through so much, though, and my heart and thoughts and prayers have all gone out to you during your leave of absence; whenever the thought of you crossed my mind, I whispered a prayer of strength and comfort for you and your family. Like you said, life served you up a tsunami, but I am so thankful that you have managed to find a lifeboat to return to us.
It’s good to have you back, Miss D, and my thoughts and prayers are still with you as you take your baby steps. I hope I haven’t embarrassed you too much with this post, though. I just had to get these thoughts and feelings vented out of my system, or else my mind would have exploded. xP
