Where ideas flow.

What is The Creative Juicer?

Hello there!

You must have clicked here to see what exactly The Creative Juicer is, so allow me to tell you.

This blog is an outlet for my writing. It started out as merely a movie reviewing blog, but it quickly turned into something else all together. Now I just post anything. Whether it’s movie reviews, poetry, short stories, or whatever else there is to write, this is where I share it with you. It helps me grow as a writer, and, if you will, it stirs up my “creative juices” (hence the name).

As for me, I am a young writer – a college student – who hopes to one day be a published author. I do realize such a dream is quite big, but nothing is unattainable, no matter how impossible it may seem.

I am also a Christian. If this offends you, I apologize that it does, but I will not apologize for my faith. It is integral to my being and who I am, and it is reflected in some of my writings. However, I respect the beliefs of others, and I will not rant or post derogatory statements concerning their faiths. I belive in grace, not hate.

With that said, I do hope you enjoy my blog.

Have a wonderful day, night, or inbetween,

~Timothy

  2. I want to start by saying . . . if you’d rather not participate, I totally understand. I have declined in the past myself. It is kind of a pain in the arse. That said.

I’m awarding you the Versatile Blogger Award because I like your blog and think others will too. As with everything in life, there are strings attached. 1) You are to give the award to 15 other bloggers you feel are deserving and notify them of the award. 2) Make a post thanking the person that gave you the award (moi’) and listing your 15 choices. Provide links to these 16 blogs in your post. 3) Lastly, in your post, list seven things the bloggy world doesn’t know about you.

Here is the info I was given for the graphic of the award to be used in your post.

Personally, I had trouble with it, so feel free to contact me if you need help.

The bottom line . . . whether you participate or not . . . I think you have a rockin’ blog.

    • First off, let me just say that I am deeply humbled and grateful that you would consider my blog worthy of such an award. Really, this was completely unexpected and you have completely made my day. So thank you for that! :)

But I am afraid I must decline. I’m sure you’ve noticed I’ve been playing hooky with my usual daily post, and it’s because I have a TON of schoolwork right now. Between that and work, I unfortunately find myself too tired to write at the end of the day.

With that said, I don’t think it’s possible for me to participate in such an award system right now.

But again, I am humbled and I thank you from the very depths of my heart. It really means a lot to be thought of so highly. :)

  3. I read this and I sympathise with your cause. I’m also and university student living in the UK, studying English Literature, and rather hoping to be a published writer one day. It’s nice how there’s a whole little world of us hopeful people out there.

Good luck with college and being a published writer… :) I hope it happens!

    • Well hello, there, SarahAlice! Thanks for stopping by! ’tis nice to meet you! :)

Thank you for your sympathies, though, and the same to you! English Literature – that’s a brilliant subject! I took American Literature this past semester and loved it! I’m considering English for next semester, though I’m not decided yet. :P

And it is nice, isn’t it? I’m rather fond of my little blogging community, and I’m rather glad to have a new member. :)

Good luck to you as well!

  5. And on that rather fragmentary note, which ruined the succinctness of my post, I love your blog, keep up the good work! :)

    • Bahahaha! It’s quite alright. I’m horrible about typos at times. :P

And thank you!!! ^_^ I shall try my best. ;P

  6. Hi Tim,

This has nothing to do with your “about” and everything to do with movies! Have you seen War Horse or are you planning to? We saw it and loved it, outstanding. It was predictable, but a wonderful story, a little intense because of the war scenes, but lovely scenes with the horses. Anyway, just thought I’d throw my 2 cents in…let me know if you do see it. I’d love to know your thoughts!

    • Lauren! I was totally going to respond to this, and I thought I did, but I guess I didn’t! Apologies, my friend.

As for the movie, I wasn’t planning on seeing it (I’m not much into those movies, and I’ve heard mixed reviews), but my sister desperately wanted to see it. Chances are we’ll just wait for DVD, though. I have a hard time dishing out the cash for movies I’m not excited about. :P
I will keep you in mind when I do see it, though! And who knows? I might just write a review. ;)

      January 8, 2012 at 11:47 pm

      • Oh, okay…I understand and completely feel the same way re: spending money on movies! Well, if you see it, let me know. I’m not a critic, but really enjoyed it. I, actually, don’t normally agree with the critics. Maybe I’m off! :)

I’m also not big into all the 3D movies. In my opinion, it’s just another way to rake in the money, especially when it pertains to remakes. What are your thoughts??

        January 8, 2012 at 11:53 pm

        • Haha! Well, we all have different tastes! ;P

I have very strong and mixed feelings about 3D. I’ve seen quite a few movies in 3D, and some of them have looked phenomenal (like Thor), but others looked dreadful (like Tron: Legacy). But the problem with 3D is that it is so subjective based on the person viewing it. I have astigmatism in both of my eyes, so the 3D can actually fatigue them very quickly, whereas my cousin has no problems. So, personally, I avoid 3D now simply because it hurts my eyes.
Furthermore, the glasses distort the color of the movie, which really detracts from my personal experience. But that’s just me. :P

Oh yeah, and 3D is just a way to make more money. xP

  14. Hi Temotheous128,

You write good poetry up here. Keep writing. I am sure that many readers will find more of your poems inspiring!

And as an aspiring writer myself, who is also studying, I could imagine how hard it must be for you to juggle between blogging and other things going on in your life. But keep striving, and the door will one day open! :-)

Have a lovely day, my friend! :-)
