The Siren
She sat in silence,
eyes closes,
breath stilled,
waiting
alone in the
dark.
Waiting for the
perfect time,
the time when he
would come to find
her.
The Watcher in the Woods
Garbed in shadows black as night;
Hair as red as fire;
Eyes the fiercest emerald,
filled with raging ire.
The Watcher lies
in wait.
The Wind, the Maiden, and the Sun
A cool evening breeze ran across the land, softly soaring above the grassy plains, until it came to a deep valley; there it stopped a moment, considering its option, before howling with glee as it rushed down to the valley-side; down, down, down it dove into the grassy vale, never stopping, never slowing, as the plants bowed down beneath its terrible force. It howled again as it crashed into a narrow stream, casting a splash of water through the air, where it transformed into thousands of dazzling diamonds, each one shifting and moving with life, until they fell back from glory, merging again with the water.
